Dental school for me was a very taxing, very challenging time. During my interview at Tufts University one of the residents interviewing me asked, “What do you do for fun? What makes you lose time? Because that’s what you’ll need to fall back on during your time here.” And the answer for me was photography. It keeps me grounded and focused. These images were taken on a day where I feeling super down and depressed. I forced myself to get out of the house and I took my camera with me. I stumbled upon an old abandoned motel. What I learned that day was that you can find beauty in almost anything if you just take the time out to look.
